Nometan, drawn by the joyful sounds of a banquet, wandered deep into the forest. There, it stumbled upon the divine wedding of Momohinaki and Momohinami. Soon, the figures disappeared, and only the peach blossoms swayed in the wind. When Nometan drank a single drop of morning dew from a petal, its body was dyed a gentle pink. Peaches, revered since ancient times as sacred trees that ward off evil, became the spirit of the peach blossoms, protecting the spring buds from harm.
